Accessibility Statement
Last Updated: March 5, 2026
Our Commitment
Welcome to Whatcom LLC is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to ensure we provide equal access to all users.
Conformance Standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
Measures We Take
To ensure accessibility, we take the following measures:
- Use semantic HTML markup for clear document structure and navigation.
- Provide text alternatives for non-text content, including images and icons.
- Ensure sufficient color contrast ratios between text and background colors.
- Support keyboard navigation throughout the Site.
- Use ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) attributes where appropriate to enhance screen reader compatibility.
- Design responsive layouts that adapt to different screen sizes and zoom levels.
- Provide clear and consistent navigation across all pages.
- Ensure interactive elements are operable with assistive technologies.
Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some areas of the Site may not yet be fully accessible. Known limitations include:
- MLS Listing Photographs: Listing photos are sourced from NWMLS via MLS Grid. While we display them with contextual alt text where available, the descriptive quality of photo captions depends on what the listing agent provides.
- Interactive Maps: Map-based property search features may have limited accessibility for screen reader users. We provide an equivalent list-based search as an alternative.
- Street-Level Imagery: Embedded street-level imagery is provided by a third-party service and may not fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA standards. Alternative property information is available through listing photos and descriptions.
- Third-Party Content: Some third-party embedded content (such as CookieYes consent banners) may not fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
- PDF Documents: Some linked documents may not be fully accessible. We are working to remediate these.
We are actively working to identify and resolve these issues. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please let us know.

Reasonable Accommodations
If you need a reasonable accommodation to access our real estate services, including property search, showing requests, or any other feature of the Site, please contact us directly. We are committed to providing equal access to housing information and services in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Washington Law Against Discrimination (RCW 49.60).
Third-Party Content
This Site displays MLS listing data sourced from the Northwest Multiple Listing Service (NWMLS) via MLS Grid. While we control the presentation and formatting of this data, the underlying content (property descriptions, photo alt text provided by listing agents, etc.) originates from third-party sources and may not always meet our accessibility standards. We actively work to present all listing data as accessibly as possible.
Authentication flows on this Site rely on third-party sign-in providers whose accessibility is outside our direct control. If you encounter any difficulty signing in, please contact us for assistance.
